Chief Executive Officer of Aéma Groupe, the result of the merger between Macif
and Aésio Mutuelle, Adrien Couret has launched a strategic plan for 2023. One of his objectives is to move to a single head office.
You're moving to a new headquarters in 2024: what's the thinking behind the move?
This project to move to Issy- les-Moulineaux goes beyond the strictly real-estate framework: for our group, which will be celebrating its third anniversary on the occasion of the move, it is a real lever for cohesion and transformation that is fully in line with the actions taken to encourage collective intelligence and ownership of this group. In terms of image, It will be a powerful symbol of our identity and our ambition to be a coherent player, bringing together a diversity of brands and expertise within a single organisation. This future building will be a place of openness and sharing, giving concrete expression to our shared culture.
Has Covid-19 changed the way you think about your property strategy?
It's hard to say, because by the time we move headquarters, habits may have changed again! What we do want, however, is for the atmosphere in the workplace to encourage cross-fertilisation between different parts of the Group. We want a place where we can meet up, work together and experience intense human interaction. Today, there is a real expectation among employees that the office should not just be a place for business, but also a place where social interaction has its rightful place.
What should you find in a "post-Covid" office?
First and foremost, it's a place where employees can interact with each other in a way they can't when working from home. A place where they are co-producers of new projects, integrating new people into the company. A place that fosters mutual understanding. It should also be an extended ecosystem for the company, welcoming partners, service providers, start-ups and, why not, competitors!
It should also be the place where the company's commitment to society is communicated?
Yes, especially as today's younger generation are putting up fewer and fewer barriers between their civic, professional and personal lives. The office has to be the place where this continuum is built. We are a company that generates commitment from all our employees, and when they ask us about it, we take it as something positive. We respond to these sensitivities, which ultimately echo the very DNA of our mutualist modelSo for us, it's a natural inclination. We've always believed that the quality of service we offer our policyholders reflects the positive feelings of our in-house staff.
